My Story

This is me, a few days home after my cesarean birth. Blissful. Exhausted. Overwhelmed. Excited. Scared. Even with the decade of training and experience under my belt as a birth professional, I was not prepared for the way that Postpartum, especially the first year, ROCKED ME. I was unmoored, I was baptized through fire, and while there was so much joy and elation of a healthy, beautiful, living breathing baby that I waited for and prayed for for EIGHT YEARS - the grief (and the guilt from that grief) was so deep.

I have had the pleasure of holding postpartum women, people, and their families and the whispered secrets, the real concerns, the joys, the grief, the sleep deprivation, the unraveling of old ways, of self, of relationships … and the tools needed to rebuild are often not there.

We have been conditioned to believe that postpartum is something that you have when it’s something that you are.
We have been conditioned to believe that postpartum is six weeks, when your entire being from your cells and DNA to your brain size and structure is altered by birth.
We have been conditioned to believe that struggle is success and rest is failure.
We have been conditioned to believe that we must do it alone.

Postpartum Preparation Crash Course will not only dispel these beliefs, but prepare you for how to not just survive in postpartum, but to thrive.

This four-hour intensive will cover the physical aspects of postpartum recovery for folks who give birth via cesarean and folks who give birth vaginally. You’ll understand the changes your body is going through and how to care for it. You’ll have a clear understanding of the types of support (there are FIVE AREAS we cover) you need and how to get the support you need. You’ll begin to explore your beliefs and boundaries to figure out what things will work and what won’t in postpartum. We’ll begin the conversations about how our relationships with ourselves and with people who are partnered with shift, change, and grow in postpartum. You’ll be given a clear understanding of the need for REST and learn how to take up space and time to get that rest, unapologetically. You’ll be given journal prompts and meditations for your first year of parenthood. A list of questions and concerns to bring up with your provider. Movement, exercise, and practice to help you get acquainted with your new body vs trying to get your body “back”. As well as a list of my favorite recipes for making nourishing and easy-to-prepare postpartum meals.

This 4-hour, one-day virtual course will give you the tools you need to plan for the Immediate Postpartum through the first year of your parent journey. You’ll leave with a better understanding of what to expect postpartum; pink flags and red flags for common postpartum concerns, ways to navigate sleep deprivation, and how to nurture and keep your relationships (with yourself and applicable partners) not just intact, but THRIVING.

The Postpartum Preparation Crash Course will be October 26th at 10AM PST
The investment in your postpartum health is $500 and can be paid over three months. Your payment includes everything listed above as well as 4 check-in calls throughout 2025 to reconnect with folks, to share successes, and to have a community of postpartum people as well as downloads and guides.
Space is LIMITED.
