Whole Body Pregnancy Postpartum Doula Training
Whole Body Pregnant Postpartum Care Provider (Postpartum Doula) Training is a pre-recorded, self-paced, virtual training for new and established birth workers who want to explore how we care for people after birth. This training centers on how we care for postpartum people and their families through physical, emotional, spiritual, nutrition, and mental health support. The training also aims to help learners connect with others through a virtual, live component that meets 6 times in 2025. These live calls are an opportunity to ask questions of me and to connect with other birth workers across WBP Trainings. The live calls will be recorded, though in-person attendance is encouraged.
Too often the focus shifts to the baby once it’s born and Whole Body Pregnancy is interested in re-focusing care onto the person who gave birth. Therefore, Postpartum Doula Training doesn’t cover newborn care or other baby-focused techniques and instead focuses on the people who are transformed by birth.
2025 PPD Training Will ONLY be available as a self-paced pre-recorded option.
The price for this training is $559.99 and can be paid in installments or at one time. WBP Pre-Recorded training participants will also have access to From Burn Out To Abundance Doula Coaching for a deep discount when they enroll.

How Do You Know If This Is the Right Training For You?
Whole Body Pregnancy is rooted in an affirming, whole-istic, person-centered approach to learning about all aspects of people’s reproductive journey. This work is rooted in self-discovery and an intimate understanding of who we are as individuals; who are we? what do we believe? Whole Body Pregnancy believes that before working with people along with this incredible transition of becoming parents, that we as doulas need to do our own work. And understands that this work is evolving. This training asks the practitioner to do personal work. It asks them to hold a mirror up to themselves, to work with their shadow side, to stand in their beliefs. This is personal work. This is communal work.
Whole Body Pregnancy understands that each individual person comes to their fertility, pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum journey with their own lived experiences and hopes that practitioners (doulas) are able to honor each individual and family they work with with honor and respect.
This training is easy in that it allows us to sink into the knowing that lives in all of our bones. It’s hard because most of us have lost that knowing, are disconnected from that knowing. Through our time together we will explore the common traditions of postpartum that expands ethnicities and nationalities while encouraging folks to learn about their own people’s postpartum practices.
Therefore, Whole Body Pregnancy isn’t interested in having cookie-cutter replicas of birth workers, but instead wants practitioners who come through training to come out on the other side as their authentic selves. This means that doulas who have walked this path work with families and clients who are survivors, clients who are sex workers, clients who are queer, and clients who are undocumented to name a few.
If you are interested in forging your own path in the doula world to work with the communities that mean the most to you and who will be best impacted by you, this is the training for you. If you’re interested in being a doula for everyone - this is not for you.
This training is also about learning how to care for people in their postpartum; whether they give birth to a live baby they go home to or experience a pregnancy loss or have an abortion. This is not a baby or infant care training. We will discuss baby needs and development, but only as the pertain to the postpartum person.
This training is taught by queer and Black or Brown people and is rooted in reproductive justice and anti-racism.

FAQs
Q: Do you offer payment plans?
A: Yes, there are a variety of installment plan options to pay for all levels.
Q: Will there be scholarships?
A: There will NOT be scholarships for the 2025 pre-recorded training. I’ve priced it to be accessible for folks and there are payment plans available as well.
Q: How is this different from your training in the past?
A: Previously, my trainings were a 10-12 week virtual, live class. I've moved training to a pre-recorded model because of the changes in my life as a parent, feedback for more in-person training, and the shift in how people learn.
Q: Will I be certified after taking this class?
A: If you want. Certification to do doula work is NOT NECESSARY. Doulas are not medical professionals and there isn’t a national board of doulas. I do understand, however, that folks want to be certified and am happy to offer it through my organization, Whole Body Pregnancy, LLC. There is a one-time certification cost and certification requirements. You have 12 months to complete the requirements, but extensions are happily given. Please note that WBP is in the process of being Medicaid Approved in Washington State.
Q: Will I be ready to work with babies after I take this training?
A: This training is focused on caring for people who are postpartum, not their babies. Too often the focus after pregnancy shifts from the person who was pregnant to their child. This training is about how we care for people in their postpartum.
