I’ve been saying Birth is a Moment, Postpartum is Forever for the last few years. And when I found myself at six weeks postpartum looking down at my brand new, much-wanted child I was so overwhelmed. I had so many intrusive thoughts, I felt so alone, I felt like a failure - and I’m a birth professional!

You don’t know what you don’t know. And even when you do - you don’t.

Planning for Postpartum can seem overwhelming. Especially because it’s more abstract than birth. But, if you’ve ever spent time with me, you know that I don’t believe in Birth Plans (I believe in birth preferences) but I believe in Planning for Postpartum.

This 4-hour, one day virtual course will give you the tools you need to plan for the Immediate Postpartum through the first year of your parent journey. You’ll leave with a better understanding of what to expect postpartum; pink flags and red flags for common postpartum concerns, ways to navigate sleep deprevation, and how to nurture and keep your relationships (with yourself and applicable partners) not just intact, but THRIVING.

LGBTQIA+ Childbirth Education
For 2024 WBP Childbirth Education and Postpartum Preparation Classes Combine and will introduce a year-long relationship with cohorts. After class ends, we’ll check in with one another 4 more times; 3 months after the class, 6 months post-class, 9 months post-class, and a year after class. This is a time for us to share birth stories, challenges of new parenthood, and successes, offer help, and create a community within the cohorts.

  I’ll be co-facilitating Queer Baby Lounge with Family Connects WA at Parable in Tacoma, Wa.

  This is an hour and a half space for queer parents of baby’s under a year of age and/or pregnant.
